Getting Started with Credit Intelligent Platform
Welcome to Credit Intelligent Platform (CIP). This guide will help you activate your subscription, invite users, and process your first loan case.
What you need
- An active Microsoft Marketplace subscription to CIP.
- A Microsoft Entra ID tenant with users assigned to CIP.
- (Optional) A Microsoft Fabric capacity if you plan to enable Fabric-connected analytics.
Step 1: Activate your subscription
- Purchase CIP from the Microsoft Marketplace.
- Microsoft sends a webhook to Otic Group to provision your tenant.
- You receive an email with your CIP admin URL and onboarding steps.
- Sign in with your work account at
https://cip.oticgroup.com.
Step 2: Configure your organization
- Go to Admin > Organization.
- Set your legal entity name, default currency, and fiscal year.
- Upload your organization logo.
- Configure email domains allowed to sign in.
Step 3: Assign roles
CIP uses role-based access control. Assign each user one or more roles:
| Role |
What they do |
| Relationship Manager |
Submit loan applications and manage borrower relationships. |
| Credit Analyst |
Run financial analysis, generate credit memos, and prepare recommendations. |
| Credit Manager |
Review memos, make committee decisions, and approve exceptions. |
| Risk Officer |
Monitor portfolio risk and review policy overrides. |
| Internal Auditor |
Read-only access to cases, audit logs, and decision trails. |
| Admin |
Configure users, connectors, policies, and marketplace settings. |
To assign roles:
- Go to Admin > Users.
- Search for the user.
- Select the appropriate roles.
- Save.
Step 4: Try the demo sandbox
Before connecting core banking systems, use the demo sandbox to train your team:
- Go to Admin > Demo.
- Click Enter Demo Mode.
- Explore synthetic borrowers, loan requests, transactions, repayments, and collateral.
- Generate an AI-assisted credit memo and run policy checks.
- Reset the sandbox at any time from Admin > Demo > Reset Demo.
Demo mode does not affect production data.
Step 5: Connect your data (optional)
CIP supports two production data modes:
Azure SQL Database
- Go to Admin > Connectors > Core Banking.
- Enter your SQL Server connection string.
- Test the connection.
- Map your schema to CIP entities (borrowers, facilities, transactions, repayments, collateral).
- Run an initial sync.
Microsoft Fabric
- Go to Admin > Fabric.
- Provide consent for CIP to access your Fabric workspace.
- Start the provisioning job.
- Wait for the readiness check and warehouse creation to complete.
- CIP will route read-only analytical queries to Fabric while keeping transactional data in SQL.
Step 6: Configure policies
- Go to Admin > Policy Rules.
- Define thresholds for debt service coverage, leverage, collateral coverage, and other metrics.
- Build your approval matrix under Admin > Approval Matrix.
- Save and publish the policy version.
Step 7: Process your first case
- As a Relationship Manager, go to Cases > New Case.
- Select an existing borrower or create a new one.
- Enter loan request details and upload documents.
- Submit the case for analysis.
- As a Credit Analyst, open the case, run analysis, and generate the credit memo.
- Submit the case for committee review.
- As a Credit Manager, review the memo, record a decision, and approve or decline.
You will receive Teams notifications at each handoff if Teams integration is enabled.
